Wedding Plans

We are very excited to be getting married right along the ocean at the Seacoast Science Center at Odiorne Park in Rye, NH. We will be outside under a tent right along the rocky coastline. There are some paved and unpaved walking trails around the park and the Science Center will be open for our guests as well.

We are going with a New England lobster and clam bake provided by Foster’s Downeast Clambake out of York Harbor, ME. Don’t worry, for guests who are not lobster fans, there will be chicken and other options.

Our photography will be provided by Carol MacGregor of Happy Gatherings Photography from Wayland, MA

    Hi Betsy and Dan,

First, I’d like to thank you for inviting the Mueller branch of your (Betsy’s) extended family to your wedding. The Howes and Mueller cousins don’t often get together, and what better way to do so than to celebrate your wedding! It’s generous of the two of you to include all of us, and we look forward to reconnecting with you, Betsy, and meeting you, Dan, for the first time.

Scott and I would like to get some advice from you concerning the formality/ informality of your wedding. Specifically, Scott would like to know what type of clothing will be most appropriate for men to wear: suit and tie, blazer and tie, or something else. Women tend to have many more options than men do to dress up or down, but menswear falls into much more rigid categories. If you have time, would you please send me some specifics to guide us?

    See you at the wedding!

    Amy (Mueller-Campbell)

      Hi Amy,
We were imagining things on a fairly casual side. No suit needed. I don’t even think a jacket would be expected. It is August after all, and I’d feel bad making people any warmer than necessary. We will be outside most of the day and although there is usually a nice breeze there by the water, we are assuming a warm sunny day. In fact, I wouldn’t even be horribly offended if he wanted to skip the tie. I’m just really glad you all are coming. It would be great to see you again especially since we live so close. In fact, I think we biked down your street somewhat recently.
      Looking forward to seeing you,
      Betsy
